K1 Church - HOLY SPIRIT POWER

What are you doing right now that would completely fail if the Holy Spirit were not real? Not harder. Fail. In this message from Becoming the Church, Pastor Dave Anderson names something uncomfortable about the American church: we have the plans, the budgets, the strategies and the skill to keep most of it running without the Spirit at all, and a church that can run without the Spirit is a church that has stopped needing Him. The believers in Acts worked the other way around. Jesus told them to wait before they worked, and once the Spirit fell He kept leading them outward, past every barrier they would have kept in place. Dave names two shifts he is making and invites K1 into them: from planning for God to waiting on the Spirit, and from self-reliance to Spirit-dependence. Because the church that changes a culture is not the best organized church. It is the most dependent one.
