God-Given Rhythms- 4/13/25
After God gave the 10 Love Instructions to His people, along with various other instructions to help them navigate their current situation and circumstances, God also instructed them to participate in 7 Annual festivals as rhythms that moved them through their year. The point of these festivals was to make sure that the Israelites always remembered who God is, what God has done, and who - as God’s people - we are called to be. These 7 festivals were really the rhythmic thread that weaves through God’s great redemption story from beginning to end. We see this in how each festivals given to the Israelites finds its fulfillment in Jesus. - the Spring feasts in his first coming; the Fall feasts in his second.
